There are several K-12 school districts in the Santa Ynez Valley, including public schools in Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard, Los Olivos and Buellton. Valley schools are well known for their dedication to student performance, small class sizes and parent involvement.
The Valley has one public high school, the award-winning Santa Ynez Valley Union High, which is a California Distinguished School and received a 10 out 10 rating from greatschools.org.
There are also a variety of private educational institutions in and around the Santa Ynez Valley, including Dunn School and Midland School.
